Criminal Charges— 10-20-17

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

  • David Anthony Markland, 27, of 2989 NC Hwy. 274 in Cherryville was charged Oct. 14 with one count of contributing to the delinquency and neglect by parents/other. A $1,000 unsecured bond was set.
  • James Charles Canipe, 39, of 1523 S. Hwy. 16 in Stanley was charged Oct. 15 with one count of failure to appear. A $250.00 secured bond was set.
  • Tavarus Daivon Freedom, 30, of 3700 Lee Moore Rd. in Maiden was charged Oct. 15 with one count each of assault inflicting serious injury, assault on a female by male over 18 years of age, driving while license revoked or suspended and kidnapping.
  • Nathan Keith Chaney, 31, of 3975 Temple Hill Church Rd. in Dudley was charged Oct. 15 with one count of failure to appear.
  • Marcus Rob Feggin, 40, of 4115 Bannockburn Pl. in Charlotte was charged Oc.t 15 with one count of failure to appear. A $1,000 secured bond was set.
  • Willie Bernard Simpson, 24, of 314 Todd Rd. in Charlotte was charged Oct. 15 with one count of failure to appear.
  • Chandra Katlin Patrick, 22, of 3442 Zion Church Rd. in Hickory wad charged Oct. 15 with one count each of first degree trespassing, misdemeanor larceny and second degree trespassing.
  • April Yvonne Muncy, 47, of 583 South Easy Trl. in Stanley was charged Oct. 15 with one count each of misdemeanor larceny and prohibited-open container. A $500.00 secured bond was set.
  • Hannah Christine Lanning, 25, of 4067 Angel Ln. in Maiden was charged Oct. 15 with one count each of probation violation, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A $15,000 secured bond was set.
  • Jody Michael Nix, 44, of 1368 Jaclyn Ln. in Lincolnton was charged Oct. 15 with one count each of possession with the intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule IV controlled substance and possessiong drug equipment/paraphernalia. A $10,000 secured bond was set.
